This is a topic I've wanted to cover for a very long time as it seems neither consumers nor manufacturers really understand how to optimize a PC for gaming. This goes for desktops as well as notebooks. Here at NCIX we understand that gaming is all about the graphics, but without hard numbers, it's difficult to prove. Behold.

It should be noted that the Core i7 will destroy the Core i5 in things like video editing or 3D rendering, but these things are not "gaming"...

Its also nice that ...
Its also nice that BF3? now supports AlienFX so the lights change when you are hit, running, etc.

well as a person ...
well as a person who lives in 2 different houses (divorced parents) during weekdays and weekends, having a strong laptop helps. Its so much easier to pack up and move with (just need to put it in my schoolbag) and can still run games with good quality. I know I can just move a desktop around as? well, but its so much bigger and bulkier hugging it on my way to the train station and back.

SSD also has a ...
SSD also has a major factor when? recording videos simultaneously while gaming. My m15x is pretty light and I can carry it around in any bag no problem and I can even carry it with 1 hand!

A ssd helps you ...
A ssd helps you load the game? faster, FPS is all gpu/cpu. I understand you can play the game but it defeats the purpose of a laptop as a gaming laptop is heavy thick and non portable.

Well, when Im not ...
Well, when Im not running fraps, all is smooth and averages about 33fps.? I dont have a ssd so thats the reason why :)

Well after watching ...
Well after watching a few clips its definitely not as smooth as it could be, its fine for? watching but I could never play like that

I said, just use ...
I said, just use your eyes, not fraps.? If you were to read my previous message correctly...

if only i? saw this ...
if only i? saw this when i bought my ASUS ROG G73jh-A1 :| not impressed with it.

FRAPS? Youtube is ...
FRAPS? Youtube is 30fps no matter if you have fraps or not, its just how it is and how most? videos are

But you can look at ...
But you can look at the quality and see if there are any lags on the original vids. Dont use fraps on youtube lol xD Also, I used to be clocked at 825mhz, 1100mhz But, I had to down? clock a bit because BF3 kept crashing.

Well I can't tell ...
Well I can't tell because youtube videos are? auto 30fps

Check my BF3 vids ...
Check my BF3 vids out and tell me? if its running at least 30 fps :)

Any computer can ...
Any computer can play BF3 max, we are talking frames a second here, I don't know if you feel 30fps is fine but I can't stand under 60?

Haha, its not an ...
Haha, its not an m14x, its an m15x. Yes, the m14x has heat issues but, its because they? use toothpaste. Just change the paste and thats it! MX-4 Seems to work great! I get 70*C on BF3 max!

Enjoy returning ...
Enjoy returning your 30 lb "gaming" laptop because it reached 90c on idle?

You spelled s**t wrong?

much lesser? lol ...
much lesser? lol much less you meen :)

I personally would ...
I personally would rather just invest in a gaming desktop, first of all, do you really need to play games wherever you are anyway? Secondly, if you are desperate to play a game whilst you're not at? home, play tf2, it's free, fun and runs on virtually anything, lol.

Alienware??
Alienware??

I don't think you ...
I don't think you get the point. The point is for you to game virtually anywhere you can bring your laptop. Yes, we all know laptops will never outperform their PC counterparts, but? what if you already have a super high-end PC and you wanna go to a friends house or a lan party and you don't want to bring your 3000 dollar PC that weighs 50 pounds? That's where a decent laptop comes in handy. I understand your reasoning though. I also use to think "If you want to game at home, buy a PC".

Gaming and notebook ...
Gaming and notebook should never be in the same phrase. You want to game? Buy a desktop PC. No matter what, desktop PC's will always outperform a notebook in? the long run.
